Carrie Steele Logan's selfless work inspired a blend of peonies and peaches. Peonies can symbolize compassion, a trait that Carrie Steele Logan clearly displayed. The Carrie Steele-Pitts Home is still active in Georgia, a state beloved for its peaches. We hope that the refreshing smell of peonies and bright peach fragrance will remind you to be compassionate to others and yourself.

-Carrie Steele Logan was born into slavery and lost both of her parents at a young age. Despite these injustices, Logan became one of the first black landowners in Atlanta.

-As a maid for the Central Railroad, Logan obtained permission to transform space at the station into a play area for orphaned children. During the evenings, she welcomed the children to her small home and provided them with food and a safe space.

-Carrie Steele Logan wrote an autobiography to raise money for an orphanage. She then founded the Carrie Steele Orphans' Home, the oldest black orphanage in the country.
