Cashmere Plum: Inspired by Olivia Ward Bush-Banks

Cashmere Plum is a novel fragrance oil that combines citrus, spice, and musk to produce a cozy and warm scent. This creative candle is inspired by Bush-Bank's trailblazing work. 

-Olivia Ward Bush-Banks published numerous volumes of poetry, which received high praise from many authors, including Paul Laurence Dunbar. Much of her writing discussed the issues facing the American Indians and African Americans in the U.S.

-Bush-Banks created the Bush-Banks School of Expression which supported African-Americans in the performing and visual arts.

-After several years in Chicago, Bush-Banks returned to NYC and participated in the Harlem Renaissance. She continued to mentor others as the drama coach at the Abyssinian Baptist Church Community Center.
